Single Tooth Replacement

Dealing with a missing tooth can be more than just a cosmetic concern; it can affect your chewing, eating, and even your facial structure, leading to self-consciousness about your smile.

Single tooth implants offer a comprehensive solution to this issue.

Beyond aesthetics, a single missing tooth can have significant implications for your bone health and facial structure. Our teeth play a crucial role in stimulating bone growth, and when one is missing, the underlying jawbone can begin to deteriorate, potentially leading to bite problems and infections. A missing tooth can also have an impact on us socially and psychologically.

Fortunately, single tooth implants provide an effective and widely favoured solution for replacing missing teeth and restoring your smile’s natural appearance.

Single Tooth Procedure

The procedure for replacing a single tooth is minimally invasive and typically performed under local aesthesia or sedation. Titanium posts resembling a tooth root are surgically implanted into the jawbone through the gums, gradually fusing with the bone over time, mimicking the natural tooth’s structure. A dental crown is then attached to the titanium implant to complete the restoration.

At Padstow Dental, we offer immediate single tooth implant surgery, sometimes even fitting temporary crowns on the same day, thanks to our state-of-the-art facilities. However, for individuals with certain medical conditions, poor bone quality and smokers where longer healing times are required, we recommend waiting between 3 and 6 months after implant surgery before fitting the final crown.

With over 25 years of experience as a general dentist clinic, the Padstow Dental is a trusted destination for single tooth implants, complex aesthetic, and implant rehabilitation
